Frequently Asked Questions

  • With over 16 years as an international wedding florist, I understand flowers at every stage , from fresh bouquets through to preservation.

This experience means I know how different flowers behave and how to get the best possible result from each piece.

If needed, I can also source and replace flowers to maintain the overall look of your bouquet, ensuring your final piece stays true to your original design.

Each piece is created with a combination of floristry expertise and resin preservation techniques, resulting in something thoughtful, refined, and made to last.

  • Yes — we work with clients all across Australia.

Most flowers are sent to us via post. Once your piece is complete, it will be carefully packaged and shipped back to you.

Shipping costs are calculated once your piece is finished, as each item varies in size and weight, and will be invoiced separately prior to dispatch.

  • I can preserve a wide range of fresh flowers, including wedding bouquets, memorial flowers, birthday arrangements, and flowers from your own garden.

If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out and I can let you know if your flowers are suitable.

  • Flower preservation is a detailed process that takes time.

Drying alone can take a few weeks, followed by multiple resin pours and curing stages.

Our current turnaround time is approximately 6 months, however this may vary depending on weather conditions, humidity, and workload.

  • You’ll be notified once your flowers have been received safely.

You will also receive an update once your flowers come out of the silica drying stage.

Around 2 weeks prior to your flowers being removed from silica, your final invoice will be sent for the remaining balance. This ensures everything is ready so your flowers can go straight into resin without delay.

Due to the hands-on nature of the process, additional updates may be limited while your flowers are being preserved.

  • Resin pieces are designed to be long-lasting, however they are not completely unchanging over time.

As your piece contains real flowers, natural changes can occur. This may include slight colour fading, darkening, or becoming more translucent over time.

Resin may also gradually develop a subtle amber or yellow tint as it ages, particularly if exposed to sunlight, heat, or humidity.

In some cases, environmental conditions may also contribute to minor changes such as moisture or internal movement within the piece.

To maintain the best possible appearance, we recommend keeping your piece out of direct sunlight and in a cool, dry environment.

These changes are a natural part of working with organic materials and resin, and are not considered faults.

  • Yes — some colour change is completely normal during the preservation process.

Flowers may fade, darken, or become slightly translucent depending on the type and condition of the flowers.

This is a natural part of preservation and not considered a fault.

  • Colour correction may be used where needed to improve the final result, depending on the condition and type of flowers.

If this is required, I will reach out to you before proceeding and any additional costs will be invoiced separately.

  • Yes — we can preserve spray painted flowers in resin.

There is a small risk involved depending on the type and quality of spray paint used. In some cases, the paint may react during the resin curing process, which can cause slight colour bleeding or separation from the petals.

This doesn’t happen every time, and many spray painted flowers preserve beautifully. We take steps to minimise this risk as much as possible, however we can’t guarantee how the paint will behave once preserved.

  • Yes we can add almost most things to your piece.

  • Yes — I can source and replace individual flowers if needed.

As a trained florist, I have access to fresh flowers and can match varieties as closely as possible. Any replacements will be discussed with you first and invoiced separately.

  • In some cases, yes.

If your flowers have been professionally dried and stored well, they may still be suitable for resin preservation. I’ll assess them first to check for mould or damage before proceeding.

  • To get the best results, keep your flowers in water in a cool environment after your event.

    • Change the water daily

    • Trim the stems slightly each day

    • If possible, store them n a cold room.

The fresher your flowers are when they arrive, the better the final result.

  • To give your flowers the best chance during transit:

    • Keep them in fresh water until posting

    • Wrap stems in wet paper towel and secure with cling wrap or foil

    • Place them upright in a container (jar, vase, etc.)

    • Secure everything in a box with padding around the base

    • Do not tightly cover the flower heads

    • Send via Express Post and label as fragile

Make sure your name or order details are included in the box.

  • If there are flowers remaining, I’ll contact you to see if you’d like additional pieces created.

If not, they will be respectfully disposed of.

  • We recommend sending flowers within 3 days of your event.

If they’ve already started to wilt, send through a photo and I’ll guide you on the best option — whether that’s preserving them as they are, replacing stems, or recreating the bouquet.

  • ☀️ How do I care for my finished resin piece?

    Keep your piece:

    • Out of direct sunlight

    • In a cool, dry environment

Over time, resin may naturally develop a slight amber tone, which is normal.

To clean, use a soft microfibre cloth and avoid harsh chemicals.
